Mandriva Linux is a French distribution published by the Mandriva company. It is conceived to be easy of installation and use for the beginners. Formerly called Mandrake Linux, it was re-elected in 2005 following the repurchase by MandrakeSoft of the Conectiva company. The company then changed name for "Mandriva", and re-elected the whole of its products. It is available in several versions, commercial and noncommercial.
